FULL BODY SWEDISH MASSAGE
WHAT IS SWEDISH BODY MASSAGE?
Swedish massage is a whole-body therapeutic massage treatment that works the soft tissues and muscles to help restore health - creating a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system.
The massage therapist will use five main types of massage techniques in a Swedish massage: stroking and gliding; kneading; rubbing; tapping or pounding; vibration. Beyond relaxation, Swedish massage has been shown to boost oxygen levels in the blood, reduce toxins, and support overall wellbeing.
Sessions are always adapted to you, with open communication encouraged so your therapist can create the most beneficial and comfortable experience possible. Research has even shown Swedish massage can help reduce stress hormones while boosting immune function, leaving you feeling lighter, calmer, and more energised.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Easing muscular strain by flushing out toxins

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY APPOINTMENT?
1. Firstly you would be welcomed into our cosy, warm spa by Kerry-Ann our holistic therapist.
2. A consultation will take place to check you are safe for treatment and to discuss your desired outcomes from the treatment, whether that's complete relaxation, or to target specific muscle aches and pains.
3. Kerry will then give you time to undress privately and to lie down on the massage table (down to your underwear), you will be provided with towels to keep yourself covered. You don't have to be completely exposed at any point; your therapist will uncover one little bit of your at a time depending on the area she is focusing on. If your worried about anything, please don't hesitate to say so.
4. Kerry might assess your complexion at the start of your treatment and choose essential oils or lotions to suit your skin type. She will massage these into your body with a series of strokes and techniques specific to the part of your body and what you want to achieve.
5. Your whole appointment will be 1 hour and 10 minutes. 15 minutes for consulting and getting changed and 55 minutes worth of massage.
6. Kerry will usually play relaxing music throughout, but please don't be afraid to say if you'd prefer not to have it on. Being content in your surroundings is important for your relaxation.
7. The same goes for talking. Most therapists are very sensitive to how much their client wants to communicate and will limit or encourage conversation accordingly. Some people like to chat a bit; others don't. It doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable, relaxed and receptive.
8. Afterwards, you'll probably feel quite relaxed and maybe even sleepy, so give yourself plenty of time to unwind. Savour the feeling of having every muscle in your body gently stretched and smoothed out.
